Cleaning Up Broadway

Street services was on its game yesterday. Just a couple hours after the last marchers took off they had the battalion out cleaning up.
Walking past 7th/Broadway around 6pm I saw a good half dozen cleaning vehicles just on that corner. The dumping trucks were picking up cans and a street sweeper was running the other direction. I was impressed.

Street Ballet of Your Favorite Block

In honor of Jane Jacobs, our friends at PolisCurbed (Lisackhart?) have joined forces to create the Street Ballet Contest. The intention is to “celebrate the street ballet of your favorite block”, and to elicit your own spin on Jane Jacobs’ neighborhood ideas.
